One pair of hands and no shortcuts
Ascending Crafts began with a single commissioned mask for a midnight opera and grew into a practice devoted to wearable sculpture. We draw on the zodiac for form, with aspirations to expand our techniques in the future. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is mass-produced.
The Process

Form
Every silhouette begins as a clay study, cast and refined until it sits correctly on the face or in the hand.

Shape
Clay, plaster and epoxy resin are layered over the cast, then sculpted and cured until the form holds its final silhouette.

Gild
Genuine gold leaf, gems, rhinestones and filigree are laid and set by hand — the slowest hours, and the ones that matter most.
04
Number
The piece is signed, stamped with its edition number, fitted with silk lining and cased for its journey.
